right after it was completed in 2007
I encountered an old gentleman
who claimed to have been a monk
and who was eager to tell me
that he was not especially fond
of the building for two reasons:
one, because the interior space
does not relate to exterior form,
and two, because the chapel
is spiritual but not Christian.
For me, it is exactly these qualities,
that make this building a tour de force.
